“Hakkaa päälle” is a 400-year-old Finnish war cry. Its roots go back to the Finnish cavalry fighting in the 30 Years’ War, where Finnish units would drive knee to knee into the middle of an enemy formation in a wedge formation, causing confusion among the enemy troops.
400 years later, the hammer on the arm of the Finns fighting in Ukraine is visible in the form of this very insignia.
Let’s call the designer of the badge the Professional. He is even now defending freedom somewhere in Ukraine.
