“Hakkaa päälle” is a 400-year-old Finnish war cry. Its roots go back to the Finnish cavalry fighting in the 30 Years’ War, where Finnish units would drive knee to knee into the middle of an enemy formation in a wedge formation, causing confusion among the enemy troops.
