“Hakkaa päälle” is a 400-year-old Finnish war cry. Its roots go back to the Finnish cavalry fighting in the 30 Years’ War, where Finnish units would drive knee to knee into the middle of an enemy formation in a wedge formation, causing confusion among the enemy troops.
Ukraine is facing the same situation as Finland did in its day, defending its independence in the face of a war of Russian aggression. The Slava Ukraini patch is a great way to show solidarity.
