The covers are available in three sizes, which fit over the backpack in more or less the following way:
The M size covers a maximum of 30 litre daypacks (Savotta S-M, Kånken, Miltec assault pack).
The L size covers everything up to 80 litres. The width of the L (and XL) size is such that the hood fits well even if you have a 60cm wide camping mattress on the top of your rucksack.
XL is the answer for trips with weeks of gear on your back. The cover is sized to protect 120 litre backpacks.
The covers are sewn from lightweight 100gsm PU coated and DWR finished ripstop fabric with a waterproof rating of over 10,000mm, in the official Defence Forces M05 snow pattern, which the Americans have also reportedly admired!
